The University of 匹兹堡's Nathan Youngblood and Feng Xiong, assistant professors of electrical and computer engineering, have received $380,000 from the National Science Foundation to study phase-change materials and overcome the challenges inherent in the technology, which is promising for new applications like high-speed computing and advanced optical storage.
